PERMISSION FORMS for FEBRUARY ALL-STATE

  • Every All-State parent must complete the permission and registration by Jan 22nd at https://mnallstate.campmanagement.com/campers.
  • Your user login is the email address where you’ve been getting All-State emails. Select “What’s my password” if you’ve forgotten.
  • Select “Forms” tab to complete the Parent Permission and Registration Form, and “Financial” tab to make your $10 payment.

ARRIVAL AND CHECK-IN

  • Arrive between 10:30am – 12:30pm Fri, Feb 23rd, 2018 – optional Jazz Band concert at 11:45am
  • Check-in at the Minneapolis Convention Center, in Lower Level Exhibit Hall A

RULES, EXPECTATIONS and CONFLICTS

  • You must be enrolled in your schools’ band. Qs? email info@mmea.org ASAP.
  • Excused absences from Friday’s All-State rehearsals
    • Girls Hockey and Girls Gymnastics – email MMEA at info@mmea.org.
    • If your school ensemble performs at the Clinic, your director will notify MMEA
  • MSHSL rules regarding respect, harassment, violence and chemical abuse apply at all times. See the All-State Rules and Regulations.

SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Check-in at Minneapolis Convention Center, in Lower Level Exhibit Hall A between 10:30am – 12:30pm Fri, Feb 23rd
  • Rehearsal Fri 2/23 1:15 – 7:15pm at Minneapolis Hilton.
  • Rehearsal Sat 2/24 8:30 – 11am at Minneapolis Hilton.
  • Reporting time for Concert Sat 2/24 2pm at Orchestra Hall.
  • Concert Sat 2/24 2pm at Orchestra Hall.
  • Full schedule will be posted and shared with you.

TRANSPORTATION and PARKING

  • Parking is available in the Orchestra Hall ramp, the Hilton Hotel and other ramps downtown
  • Use Metro Transit’s Trip Planner for light rail or bus transportation.

MEALS and LODGING

  •  MMEA will provide supper.
  • All other meals are at the student’s expense
  • An adult must stay in the hotel room with any minor(s) and must be present at check-in.
  • The Minneapolis Hilton  is the host hotel.
  • Student rate rooms are sold out. Get the Clinic rate ($119/night, plus tax) by reserving online at https://aws.passkey.com/go/MMEA2018. Select “Attendees and Exhibitors”.
  • MMEA provides supervision during rehearsals and the performance. NO OTHER SUPERVISION WILL BE PROVIDED BY MMEA AT ANY OTHER TIME DURING THE WEEKEND.

  • Email MMEA info@mmea.org if you don’t have your music and can’t access DropBox.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Bring a folding stand for All-State rehearsals.
  • Your instrument and your music.
  • WINDS Bring extra reeds.
  • BRASS bring MUTES needed for your parts.
  • PERCUSSION Bring MALLETS needed for your parts.
  • You are responsible for all valuables (cell phone, tablet, wallet, purse).

CONCERT DRESS – TBA

ORCHESTRA HALL CONCERT

  • Sat Feb 24th at 2pm.
  • Orchestra performs first on the concert.
  • Tickets via the Orchestra Hall box office. Link will be emailed when available.
  • No valuables (cell phone, tablet, wallet, purse, etc.) back stage at Orchestra Hall.
  • No audio or video recording during the concert. No photography during the concert.
