Camps

2016-2017 All-State Camps will be August 1-6, 2016. The camp fee is $580.

A detailed letter and schedule with full camp information will be sent to registered students before camp.

Parents/Guardians of All-State Students:

  • You will receive an email in mid-May inviting you to register your student(s) for Camp via the online All-State registration software (RegPacks).
  • Registration via Online All-State Registration Software (RegPack) and a minimum down payment of $100 is due by May 27th.
  • Please see below for payment information.
  • The MMEA All-State Scholarship Fund Application is due by May 18th.
  • If you are having trouble downloading/uploading your health form in the online registration software, please download, print and email (info@mmea.org) or mail (6120 Earle Brown Drive, Suite 215, Brooklyn Center, MN 55430) the health form directly to the MMEA office.
  • If your student is an Alternate: MMEA notifies Sponsoring Teachers when Alternates are selected to participate. This usually takes place in May and June.

Sponsoring Teachers:

  • Placement notification was sent in late April.
  • MMEA will notify you (the sponsoring teacher) regarding Alternate participation. Notification usually takes place anytime in May and June.
  • Parents receive an email mid-May inviting them to register their student(s) for Camp via the online All-State Registration Software (RegPack). Registration and down-payment are due May 27th.
  • The MMEA All-State Scholarship Fund Application is due by May 18th.
  • If your school is paying for All-State, please see payment information below.


All-State Camp Payment Information:

  • Parent(s)/Guardian paying by ACH/Funds Transfer from Checking: Register student and pay via All-State Online Registration (RegPack).
  • Parent(s)/Guardian paying by Credit Card: Register student and pay via All-State Online Registration (RegPack).
  • Parent(s)/Guardian who must mail a check: Mail a check to MMEA and include the Alternative Payment Form. (Parent selects "Manual Check" on the online registration payment screen.)
  • School and Activity Fund payments by check or credit card: use the Alternative Payment Form. (Parent selects "Manual Check" on the online registration payment screen.)
  • Booster Groups or Community Organizations: payments by check or credit card: use the Alternative Payment Form. (Parent selects "Manual Check" on the online registration payment screen.)


2016 All-State Band Camp will be at Concordia College, Moorhead.
  • Jerry Luckhardt (University of Minnesota, Twin Cities) will be conducting the Concert Band.
  • Robert Taylor (University of British Columbia) will be conducting the Symphonic Band.
  • Ryan Frane (University of Minnesota, Duluth) will be conducting the Jazz Ensemble.
2016 All-State Choir Camp will be at St. John's University, Collegeville.
  • Andrew Last (Luther College) will be conducting the Men's Choir.
  • Jing Ling-Tam (University of Texas - Arlington) will be conducting the Mixed Choir.
  • Sigrid Johnson (formerly St. Olaf College and VocalEssence) will be conducting the Women's Choir.
2016 All-State Orchestra Camp will be at College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph.
  • Douglas Droste (Ball State University) will be conducting the Orchestra.
