Membership Information Membership is open to any teacher, administrator or member of the public who is interested in supporting music education at a rate of $98 for one year (rate expires 5-31-2006). You can join three different ways: 1. Download a membership form

headquarters MMEA SERVICES & PROGRAMS FOR MEMBERS Midwinter In-Service Clinic: Held each February, this event features over 100 educational sessions and clinics, 30 performances, and numerous diverse exhibits from the music industry. All-State Bands; Men's, Mixed and Women's Choirs; Jazz Ensemble; and Orchestra: Enrichment opportunities for high-achieving 11th- and 12th-grade musicians. Auditions are held in March; those selected attend a week-long summer camp in August, and then gather again for a performance in February during the Midwinter Clinic. Elementary and Middle-Level Festivals: Non-competitive festival experiences for 4th- through 9th-graders held during March and April at multiple sites across the state. Gopher Music Notes: The Minnesota Music Educators Journal: A quarterly publication featuring news and information about music education, and MMEA programs and services. Collegiate Clinic: Features educational sessions and demonstrations for our future music educators. Music Educators Journal: Published six times each year, featuring articles on teaching approaches and philosophies. Teaching Music: Published six times each year, featuring practical teaching ideas for all specialty areas. In-Service Conferences: Offers annual regional and national conferences, as well as special workshops. 20% Discount on Resources from MENC Publications Department: Includes the National Standards for Arts Education. MENC On-Line Job Center: Provides current listings of open positions for all specialties and levels in music education. Fund for the Advancement of Music Education (FAME): Dedicated to helping teachers advance their knowledge through research, professional development and contemporary teaching materials.
