Gopher Music Notes

MMEA's quarterly newsletter, Gopher Music Notes - The Minnesota Music Educators Journal, is distributed to MMEA's 2200 members in October, December, February and April. Gopher Music Notes contains articles of interest to music educators and the official business of the MMEA. Advertising rates, specifications, and space reservation form are available here.

The Fall (October) issue highlights the summer All-State program, Candidates for the MMEA Board of Directors, and our Music Educators of the Year. The Clinic (December) issue showcases our Hall of Fame inductees and the upcoming February Midwinter Clinic. It contains listings of sessions, concerts and speakers slated for the Midwinter Clinic and is sent to all music educators in Minnesota, increasing its circulation to 4500. The Winter issue (February) is centered around the Minnesota Music Education Research Review, a comprehensive collection of recent research in music education in Minnesota. The Spring (April) issue finishes up the academic year with a theme-based issue addressing a current topic of interest in music education, most recently assessment in music education.

Submissions are considered on their relevance and interest to music education and are welcome at any time during the year. Articles should be submitted by e-mail to the MMEA office.
