Conferences

MMEA sponsors several professional development conferences for music educators.

The Midwinter Clinic is one of the state's largest arts education conferences and is held each February. The three-day conference features over 100 educational sessions, 35 concerts, and a full service trade show. The conference is attended by over 1300 music educators and nearly 6000 people in total. The 2007 Midwinter Clinic will be held February 15-17 in Minneapolis.

The Collegiate Clinic is held each fall and is free to any member of a Minnesota MENC Collegiate Chapter. This year's event will be hosted by the St. Cloud State University Collegiate MENC Chapter on November 5-6.

The Claire McCoy Leadership Retreat is a leadership training program geared towards newer music educators and funded by the MMEA Foundation.
