MMEA Awards
MMEA sponsors awards to recognize outstanding music educators. Your participation through nominating your colleagues and teachers is encouraged.

Congratulations to MMEA's 2007-2008 award winners: Steven Boehlke (Hall of Fame), Jane Frazee (Hall of Fame), and Dave Gudmastad (Educator of the Year).

Deadline for 2008 nominations is May 20, 2008!

Hall of Fame Awards (download a nomination form)
For significant career contributions to music education in Minnesota. Up to six awards per year may be given.

Requirements:
1. Current member of MMEA-MENC, unless deceased.
2. Service as an active music educator or administrator in music education in a Minnesota public or private school or institution of higher learning for a period of not less than ten years.
3. Significant contributions to the music education profession in Minnesota.

All nomination materials must be submitted by May 20.

Music Educator of the Year (download a nomination form)
For demonstrated excellence in music teaching and learning. Up to four awards per year may be given.

Requirements:
1. Current member of MMEA-MENC.
2. Actively teaching at the time of the award.
3. Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience.
4. Provided service to the music education profession outside of his/her school and district.

All nomination materials must be submitted by May 20.
